Playgroups in Spain

Safe Spaces
Our foundation has been working for over 16 years implementing the Playgroups project in Spain and Peru. Throughout these years, we have encountered numerous obstacles to establishing play spaces. One major obstacle is insecurity, a social scourge that has prevented children from playing in the few public spaces near their homes. Our significant work has focused on promoting play in these public spaces (community centers, schools, parks, sports fields, and neighborhood associations) and maintaining safety thanks to hundreds of volunteers who assist with play activities for children of different ages (4-12 years). It is also important to highlight the protection and support of the communities themselves, who provide us with the greatest security.
